Voices on the Wind Open Theme
Still Lake by Mike Bayles Nestled on the south edge of Worthington’s downtown Okabena Lake waits for herons to land. Its still face captures reflections of the passing sun. Lovers and children walk along its edges. The lake casts its spell while the day settles into dusk. Distant generators face the wind gentle dragons to slay. Darkness descends on the land and whispers in a breeze. Lights of combines in fields dot dark skies proclaiming a farmer’s work is never done. Street lights along the shore glisten as the lake spread before me dreams.
